A sociopolitical group, North East Youth Forum (NEYF) has called on President Muhammad Buhari to reinstate the suspended Secretary to Government of the Federation (SGF) Babachir David Lawal if the report of the Osinbajo-led panel did not indict him.
The national president of the group, Alhaji Kyari Idris made the call in Abuja on Wednesday in a statement he released to the public.
“It is the conviction of the teeming youths of the northeast geopolitical group that the suspended SGF did not soil his hands in the award and execution of sontracts by the Presidential Initiative of the Northeast (PINE) as alleged.
“Babachir Lawal is a committed Buharist and patriot who would never do anything to undermine the anti-corruption crusade of the Buhari administration. Those who want him out of the government are some vested interests who believe he is preventing them from having their way in the government,’’ Idris said.
Idris lamented that the suspension of the SGF is denying the entire northeast his positive impacts in the zone, hence, the call of the entire youths in the region to reinstate him to his position if he is not found guilty.
Meanwhile, Aytunez.blogspot.com had reported that the presidency gave clarification on the controversy surrounding the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Mr Babachir David Lawal.
