Didier Drogba Sends Message To Salah For Breaking His Premier League Goals Record
Didier Drogba posted a message to Mo Salah after the Liverpool forward broke his Premier League scoring record for an African player.
Salah netted his 30th of the domestic campaign against Bournemouth, surpassing Drogba’s total of 29 from the 2009-10 season.
And the former Chelsea forward shared a picture of himself alongside the Egyptian with a classy message on Instagram.
The 40-year-old wrote: ‘It was just a matter of days before this guy put my goal record as number one African top scorer to bed.
‘So proud of you lil bro, continue to put our continent as high as you can!!! Much love and blessings, like I said before the best is yet to come.’
The Ivorian lit up the Premier League with the Blues and while Salah is a very different threat, he still fills defences with the same fear.
The 25-year-old failed to reach the heights of Drogba at Stamford Bridge and the duo overlapped briefly as team-mates.
But having moved on from Chelsea, the winger developed rapidly at Roma before moving to Merseyside for £38million last summer.
Salah is also on pace to win the golden boot from Harry Kane and is four goals ahead of the Tottenham man.
